Summer Camps at the LISD TECH Center make you want to be a kid again


The LISD Career Exploration Camps started off with a bang last week. 160 students participated in seven different camps learning about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Campers were able to conduct experiments, investigate crime scenes, make movies, and work on cars.

Community garden developing at fairgrounds | The Daily Telegram

A 40-by-200-foot plat of land at Lenawee County Fair & Event Grounds has been set aside for a community garden as part of a neighborhood revitalization initiative, said Scott Smith, president of the Adrian Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative’s community panel. The project is called Garden EAST, which stands for Engage, Act Sustainability and Teach.

Marshalls is hiring as it prepares for Aug. 20 grand opening | Adrian Today

The new Marshalls store in Adrian is set to open in August, and will be hiring about 75 part-time employees during a series of open interviews next week.

The discount clothing retailer is in the East Point Plaza, a new shopping center at 1651 U.S. 223, across the parking lot from Walmart. It will share the plaza with Ulta Beauty, Rue21, Shoe Carnival and Maurices.
