River Raisin Festival, July 13-15: The Village of Blissfield is celebrating its 39th River Raisin Festival with free entertainment, children’s activities, and a massive carnival. Attendees can enjoy an expanded kids’ corner, pedal tractor pulls, as well as softball and water ball tournaments. Fireworks highlight the Friday night festivities, and Saturday features a parade through Downtown Blissfield.

Lenawee County Fair, July 23-29: The Lenawee County Fair is the oldest fair in Michigan, offering a wide plethora of rides, animal exhibits, and food. Patrons will also enjoy viewing and participation in bandshell events, at no extra charge. These range from martial arts demos to live music, and the opportunity to compete in the Fair Queen pageant.

Confluence: Art and Influence, an exhibition at the Adrian Center for the Arts (ACA), Ending July 22: The Adrian Center for the Arts has partnered with the Adrian Noon Rotary Club to create thought-provoking works that bring awareness to one of our most precious resources: Clean water. In conjunction with a program of the River Raisin Watershed, these groups removed debris from the river, then artists from the ACA used selected items to craft artwork to speak about preservation. Admission is free.
