Lenawee Now and The Align Center for Workforce Development will host New York Times Best Seller, speaker, and executive coach, John Bacon on October 30, 2023. This event will be held at The Centre, with the option for a VIP luncheon with John Bacon from 11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., and the presentation beginning at 1:00 p.m. By attending, event goers will receive a copy of John’s latest book, Let Them Lead: Unexpected Leadership Lessons from America’s Worst High School Hockey Team. Corporate sponsorship opportunities are available, allowing companies to obtain free seats, VIP Lunch tickets, and in-person business consulting on the day of the event.
Bacon has had notable success as both a business consultant and a journalist. Since beginning his career in journalism, Bacon has won the “Notable Sports Writing” Award in 1995, and 2000. His work in news commentary won him the PRNDI prize for the nation’s best commentary in 2014. As an executive coach, John has done consulting at high-profile companies, including Ford Motor, Google, Microsoft, and the University of Michigan.
With his varied experiences in journalism and leadership consulting, John Bacon has authored 12 books, five of which became New York Times bestsellers. His latest manuscript shares the engaging story of the lessons a high school hockey coach learned from coaching one of the worst teams in the nation and turning it into one of the best.
Patrons have the option of only attending the presentation for $40 per ticket. For $100 per ticket, attendees have the option to join a VIP Lunch with John. Sponsors have the option to purchase a set number of tickets depending on the sponsorship level. Also, corporate sponsors will get their name in all publication materials, and in-person business coaching with John after the event.
