This past October, Siena Heights University, in partnership with South Central Michigan Works and Monroe County Community College invited employers to participate in the 7th annual Operation: SERVE Community Career Expo at Siena Heights University. The purpose of this event was to present job opportunities for everyone in Lenawee County. Operation: SERVE required different employers to set up booths and talk to potential employees who are interested in their companies and the goal of a new career.

Head coordinator of Operation: SERVE, Melissa Growden explains, “We are very pleased by the continued support of the employers who return each year to Lenawee County for our recruiting event. Operation: SERVE Community Career Expo exists to help job seekers make connections with employers and community resources. Over the past seven years we have averaged 70 employer partners annually and helped more than 1500 job seekers make connections.”

Lenawee Now was given the honor to present their Job Board at Operation: SERVE which consists of a no-cost and no-account required job board that features strictly Lenawee County jobs. While visiting our website, one can apply for as many jobs as they would like. It is straightforward and helps the job application process run smoothly. Lenawee Now was happy to take part in Operation: SERVE this year and hope we can continue to help the community find employment.
