AUGUST 28, 2015—ADRIAN, MI— Lenawee Now is pleased to announce that for the second consecutive year the Michigan Economic Developers Association (MEDA) has bestowed one of its top marketing awards on Lenawee Now for our community book, Pure Michigan – Lenawee!

Each year, MEDA sponsors a competition of local economic development marketing strategies to provide an opportunity for Michigan’s economic development organizations to have professional marketing firms independently review their marketing strategies and give MEDA members a chance to review materials from other practitioners around the state.

Lenawee Now’s community book was created to showcase the best of Lenawee. The information is aimed at providing a clear picture of what life is like in Lenawee County in order to attract future business here, thus creating new local jobs. In addition, the community book will support the local conference and visitors bureau with a supplemental piece for use when promoting the area. “Our community book will act as an excellent visual tool for our partners, investors, and local economic developers for use during recruitment activities around the world,” said Jim Van Doren, Executive Director of Lenawee Now. “I know that this book will further prove what we already know; Lenawee County is a great community to live, work, and play.”

Pure Michigan—Lenawee was selected as the winner of the MEDA Marketing Competition, within the “population under 100,000” category. Submissions were judged on the creativity, content, branding, and results of an entire marketing goal.

The community book will be distributed locally to business partners and hotels, as well as regionally at tourist centers. You can also find a digital version of Pure Michigan—Lenawee at our website www.lenaweenow.org/communitybook.
