CB coverAt Lenawee Now, we believe that a great quality of life is the most powerful incentive to attract new businesses, labor force, and residents to local communities and we’re proud to announce that we’ve created a new tool that will showcase all of what Lenawee has to offer.

Lenawee Now has created a Lenawee County Community Book, Pure Michigan—Lenawee. The intent of this community book is to share with those who have not experienced Lenawee County that it is indeed, ideal for business and perfect for life.

Lenawee Now is pleased to announce that for the second consecutive year the Michigan Economic Developers Association (MEDA) has bestowed one of its top marketing awards on Lenawee Now for our community book, Pure Michigan – Lenawee! In addition, MEDA has also honored our very own, Tim Robinson, Lenawee Now Director of Operations, with MEDA’s highest award, the Medalist Award.

The goal of Pure Michigan—Lenawee is to bring the best of Lenawee County to an outside audience. In creating this community book, there are two defined objectives:

  1. Provide a visual tool for our partners, investors, and local economic developers for use when representing Lenawee County during presentations, tradeshows, or recruitment activities around the world.
  2. Further develop the business and talent attraction strategy with comprehensive quality of life information highlighting the best amenities in the area including education, culture, recreation, and entertainment.

This booklet will appeal to multiple audiences. Specifically, the community book will appeal to business influencers, talent, visitors, and community members. The information is aimed at providing a clear picture of what life is like in Lenawee County in order to attract future business here, thus creating new local jobs. We define talent as the people who make up the current labor force in Lenawee County or someone considering relocating for a job with the purpose of conveying it’s a great location to live, work, and raise a family. In addition, we hope that the community book will support the local conference and visitors bureau with a supplemental piece for use when promoting the area. As local communities promote a Pure Michigan campaign in the next few years, this will be an excellent piece to include in requested information packages as well as digital distribution.

The community book will be distributed locally to business partners and hotels, as well as regionally at tourist centers. You can also find a digital version of Pure Michigan—Lenawee at our website www.lenaweenow.org/communitybook. Additionally, the community book will be available at Lenawee Now’s Annual Vision meeting. The Vision meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 9th from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. at Rueckert Auditorium on the campus of Siena Heights University. This event will be open to the public. Please RSVP to secure a spot by contacting Lenawee Now at 517-265-5141.
