“The results are in, and we’ve got a list of Michigan’s top 10 historic theaters. Now, we need you to help pick a winner. The Croswell Opera House: This Adrian theater opened in 1866, making it the oldest continually-operating theater in the state and one of the oldest continually-operating theaters nationally. It’s a local favorite not only for its shows, but for its constant presence in the community. Several readers noted that it’s also got some star power on its side. “Many young people have gone on to Broadway due to its programs,” wrote one reader in nominating it.”

 

Tecumseh raises funds for new programming, Movies in the Park

Downtown Tecumseh and their many supports have reached their goal! After nearly a month of fundraising, they have collected enough money to buy their own equipment and host movies during summer 2015.

The City will hold the movies in Adams Park, an underutilized passive park, immediately adjacent to City Hall. This park is a beautiful setting with a small water fountain feature and plenty of flat space for blankets or lawn chairs for optimal movie viewing.

As part of our ongoing business retention program, yesterday we visited with our friends at Glov Enterprises Llc, a local auto supplier employing people right here in Lenawee.
